I rarely read a book a second time but this one is special.This one features 2 beautiful women kicking ass in the very far future.If you are a sy fy fan you know all about Honor Harrington.Well this story is in the same realm with strong women,lots of action,emotional turmoil and an excellent writer who brings these characters alive.The best part is the author is working on the 2nd book!
Highly recommended.

This is one of my new favorites. I read a LOT, but it's rare for a book to actually make my list of favorites. This one did, and I cannot wait for more!!!

Good Character development, interesting story, well plotted, lots of action, and romance. Looking forward to the next book by this author.
Great imagery! All the characters were developed really well. Only neg, some typos here and there which really isn't a big deal! Just started the second book! I definitely needed more!
Sci-fi can sometimes be over technical or over simplified, here wenare given the rare treat of a perfect balancing act between being too technical and too star trek, the story has greatly developed characters, plot and world building while at the same time being as strange it sounds enjoyable gritty.
I really liked this book, and I plan on checking regularly for the next volume. I confess to having had a little difficulty getting into the story at first. The opening chapters were heavy with exposition, but it was ultimately necessary to get that out of the way. By chapter five, I couldn't put the thing down. I read until the early morning because I was hooked. The plot was engaging, and the characters were fascinating and feel like real people. I'm a big fan of Mass Effect, and this made me feel right at home. Avara stands as a contender for my top favorite characters in science fiction. I'm really excited to see how the story will go from here and what other projects this author may deliver.
